ACEO

I've finally got a bit of a collection up for ACEO's. A few weeks ago someone suggested I offer my art on ACEO's.

It took a couple of weeks to decide what type of art I might offer on an ACEO since the "canvas" is so small.

I decided I would just "go with it". I offer illustrations, which I haven't done in quite some time and had forgotten how much I enjoy them. I also created some pattern cards. Basically, when the buyer purchases the pattern ACEO they also purchase the right to use that pattern in their creations. The only rule is they must provide me with a link back to my store and they can not resell the pattern by itself. The pattern must be used within the craft. If this sounds unclear at all, let me know and I will be happy to try and clarify what I mean. I'm not always the best at speaking out what's in my head.

I also draw some Pansy's. When I was little pansies were my favorite flower. I think I liked them so much because of all the colors they came in. My mom always had some growing by the house in the summer time.

I recently splurged and got myself a gardening book and there was such a pretty picture of a pansy in there I felt compelled to draw it. I ended up doing a series of pansy ACEO cards. I am also working on a painting too.

I'd like to attempt other flowers too. There is this really pretty picture of this rare flower, wont say what. You will have to visit my store on Etsy often and watch for it to find out. But anyways, there's this rare flower in the magazine, its BEAUTIFUL! The picture is so close and clear you can even see the reflections in the dew on the flower. I can't wait to try and capture all of that in pencil or paint, maybe even both?

Anyways, I haven't posted in a while, thought I should stop in and say hello.
